A Short is found two ways: in the Shorts feed, where people swipe within a second or two and there is no thumbnail to click, and in YouTube search, which reads the title, description, tags and captions. So the video has to stop the swipe on its own, and the words around it have to say plainly what it is. This skill writes a Short's title, description and tags, and checks the video before it goes out; the user approves both.
When to use
- Writing or fixing one YouTube video's title, description, tags or hashtags.
- "Is this video ready for YouTube?": a check before approving.
- Not for: connecting, the queue, visibility, made for kids, approving and upload problems (
cmo-youtube); ideas, hooks and scripts before filming (cmo-short-form-video); editing the video (cmo-video-production); long videos, thumbnails and channel plans (cmo-youtube-strategy).
