Everything Maggie writes, and every CMO.so skill, reads the business profile: what the business does, for whom, what it sells, who it competes with, where readers should click, what customers say, and how it sounds. A thin profile produces generic posts. This skill fills the profile one gap at a time, in the user's own words, so the rest of the system has the context it needs.
When to use
- First week on CMO.so, or when
brand_gaps_getshows gaps. - Posts sound generic or off-brand, use the wrong CTA, or mention the wrong products.
- The business changed: new product, new market, new positioning, new testimonial.
- Not for: working out the positioning itself, such as category, differentiation and messaging hierarchy (
cmo-positioning, then record the result here); researching customers (cmo-customer-research); rules that block topics or claims before publishing (cmo-autopilot, content guard).
